When I started writing my first book, I had difficulty finding a calendar that showed the passage of time without our modern connotations— enter, the moon. An easy and natural way to show the passage of time within the month. But the lunar calendars I found were still based on our days and months and years. It made it difficult to plot with, as the days never lined up just right for easy, continuous planning with just one sheet . So I created my own
